The ACSOBA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Friday, 22 March at the Tan Cheng Siong Drama Theatre, ACS (Barker Road). The meeting was attended by 241 members. Member of the ACS Board of Governors Reverend Kenneth Huang opened the meeting with a word of prayer.

School reports were presented by Mrs Leong-Ho Hil May, Principal of ACS(P), Ms Cheryl Chee, Principal of ACS (J), Mr Khoo Tse Horng, Principal of ACS (BR), Mr Arene Koh, Principal of ACS (I), Ms Audrey Lim, Vice Principal of ACJC and Dr Kristopher Achter, Vice Principal of ACS (International).

The elections saw the following members elected to the ACSOBA Management Committee for a two-year term spanning 2024 to 2026:

Dr Wong Heng Yu (President)

Dr Teoh Tiong Ann (2nd Vice President)

Mr Ravindran Alfreds (Honorary Asst Secretary)

Mr Alvin Tan Chin Yeow (Honorary Treasurer)

Mr Adam Tan Chin Han (Member)

Mr Livingstone Chew (Member)

The AGM also accepted the Management Committee’s proposed amendments to the Constitution, with all resolutions passed unanimously. The changes will help to improve governance and operations of the ACSOBA.

The ACS Tengah Feedback Committee, which was formed at the previous AGM, was represented by Dr Ang Peng Tiam. He presented their report which was based on a survey that was compiled by Verian, an independent research and consulting firm. They also presented resolutions for AGM’s consideration, and none were passed.

The AGM ended at 9:20 pm after other administrative and operational matters were discussed. The AGM and Management Committee registered their appreciation to Mr Lock Wai Han for serving as President of the ACSOBA for the past four years. The incoming President of the ACSOBA, Dr Wong Heng Yu, said the closing prayer.

Following the AGM, in line with paragraph 11(4) of our constitution, the ACSOBA Management Committee has met and agreed to co-opt the following members for the term 2024/2025:

  1. Mr Ryan Thomas Jacob
  2. Mr Daniel Lee
  3. Ms Christabel Chan
  4. Mr Michael Lin
  5. Mr Paul Lee

In accordance with Paragraph 15 of our constitution, Mr Marcus Lim was appointed to hold the position of Honorary Assistant Treasurer for a period of one year.
