The ACSOBA celebrated its 110th Anniversary together with Bishop Gordon Wong, distinguished guests and ACSOBA members on 11 July at Oldham Theatre (Coleman Street) over a delightful Peranakan dinner fellowship followed by the first-ever movie screening of “Oversteer”, a captivating movie made by ACSOBA member Derrick Lui (ACSP 1988).

“Oversteer” is Singapore’s first car racing movie. Derrick painstakingly put the movie together over 10 years without use of computer graphics. The underlying storyline of

“Oversteer” is about passion, tenacity, and ultimately how unconditional love reunites families.

The movie served as a great reminder of the Christian ethos behind the ACS spirit that underpins the ACSOBA, how we have persevered through thick and thin over more than a century, and why we continue to look out for our ACS family and alumni as God first loved us.
